A New Hybrid Wax Gourd 'Mobao'
'Mobao' is a hybrid of wax gourd with small fruit. It has strong growth potential and good continuous fruit setting. The fruit is in short cylinder shape and well proportioned. The fruit length is about 25.0 cm, and the diameter is about 13.0 cm. The pericarp color is dark green, with no wax powder or furrow. The flesh is firm and it is resistant to storage and transportation. This cultivar is resistant to Fusarium wilt and moderately resistant to Phytophthora blight wilt. It is suitable for growing in spring and autumn cultivation in South China.
