A New Flowering Chinese Cabbage Cultivar 'Yuecui No.2'
'Yuecui No.2' is a new middle-late maturating cultivar of flowering Chinese cabbage. It only takes 35-50 days from sowing to the initial harvest in this cultivar. The plant exhibited strong growth potential, upright compact type, dark green and ovate leaves, and short petioles traits. The bolting of this cultivar showed thick-stemmed shoots, glossy dark green color, sweet and crisp texture, less fiber, and excellent quality characteristics. Meanwhile, the bolting of 'Yuecui No.2' is neat and consistent. This new hybrid variety has a wide range of adaptability and the suitable sowing period in Guangzhou is from February to the end of November. Moreover, 'Yuecui No.2' is resistant to downy mildew and soft rot.
