A New Flowering Chinese Cabbage Cultivar 'Yuecui No.1'
'Yuecui No.1' is a new mid-early matured hybrid variety of flowering Chinese cabbage, which has strong growth potential and high heat tolerance traits. It only takes 30-42 days from sowing to the initial harvest in this cultivar. 'Yuecui No.1' exhibited upright compact, thick-stemmed shoots, glossy dark green color, crisp and tender texture, less fiber, and excellent quality characteristics. Moreover, the bolting of 'Yuecui No.1' is neat and consistent. This new hybrid variety has a wide range of adaptability and the suitable sowing period in Guangzhou is from March to November. Furthermore, this cultivar also showed downy mildew and soft rot resistance.
